The History of Berwick Lodge

Established in the late 1890s, Berwick Lodge in Bristol, United Kingdom, boasts a rich history as one of the region’s most distinguished wedding venues. The distinctive sense of elegance apparent from its elaborate architecture and intricate decor is the result of the vision of a wealthy local businesswoman who built it as a magnificent family home. Over the years, Berwick Lodge changed hands numerous times, witnessing tumultuous times including the destruction during World War II bombings. Despite these detriments, the venue has preserved its charm and is cherished for its history. In 2008, it was acquired by the current owners, who painstakingly transformed it into the enchanting wedding venue that it is today. Steeped in Edwardian grandeur with a blend of contemporary opulence, Berwick Lodge provides an idyllic setting where countless couples have exchanged vows under its picturesque gazebo, surrounded by five acres of landscaped gardens. How early should I book you to be photographer for my Berwick Lodge wedding?

Congratulations, you’re engaged and have chosen your date and venue. It’s time to secure your booking and to book your wedding photographer. We can be booked up to 2 years in advance, with the average time being a year before the big day. Don’t worry, if you are getting married sooner than that, please send us a message and we can check our diary. We take lots of last-minute wedding bookings – such as off-season or weekday weddings, as these generally have more availability. If you’ve booked a Saturday wedding in June, July or August, it’s important to book as soon as possible – which we’d love to be us! Another great incentive to book early is to guarantee your package price and potentially save you money. Even if your wedding is 2 years away, you will only pay the prices at the time of booking.

How much does it cost to hire you as our photographer for a Berwick Lodge wedding?

When it comes to ensuring your wedding day has a physical reminder of the emotions, love, laughter, romance and fun, a professional photographer is something you can’t afford to scrimp on. After all, you only get to experience the day once, and it often passes in a magical blur. With a full day of photography, you can experience the day all over again, anytime you please. Take a look at our photography packages for more details.
